ABOUT US
Aught-Seven is a new kind of digital studio specializing in satirical entertainment properties, developed in new and traditional media including web, video and print. Aught-Seven is comprised of Founding Writer/Producer: Rob Warmowski, Co-President: Chris Kreb, and Creative Director: Heather Smith.
Rob Warmowski
(Founding Producer)
After storied careers in recording engineering, print design and early web development, Rob began producing educational media for the musical equipment industry. In 2007, he produced a video starring nearly-famous Nirvana / Pixies producer Steve Albini who wore stilts while reviewing a guitar effects pedal. After that, Rob made internet points off of Van Halen screwing up their live show by finding a clip on YouTube and being the first to say "hey look at this". Sterling qualifications like these don't come cheap or easy and Rob has made the transition to media startup with the ease one might expect of someone with functioning arms.Chris Kreb
(Founding Producer)
A life lived as a shadowy lurking figure is no barrier to entry at Aught-Seven, as Chris proves. Photographic tendencies and hard drives stuffed with smoking-gun evidence is his M.O. While Aught-Seven could not exist without his careful ministrations of company assets, Chris is no mere back-office gargoyle. The consummate 21st century renaissance man, he is as comfortable contributing to a creative meeting as he is huddling over a paper shredder or quietly editing an enemies list. Every organization needs someone who knows where the bodies are buried, if only for dealing with the smell. That someone is Chris Kreb.Heather Smith
(Creative Director)
Trapped in an invisible glass box for three years spent as a performing mime, Heather walked away (against the wind) from that career and into the field of technology, working first in multimedia support for Apple. Forever a hybrid of fine artist and tech dork, the under-thirty Heather has produced over a decade's worth of video art, Flash animation, fine art and web design, and is equally at home arguing about fonts as well as PHP coding. As Creative Director of Star Farm productions, she headed up internet endeavors from conception to completion including games, user-generated content management and TV spots. It took a stint in mainstream advertising agency culture to drive her to first career mistake: joining Aught-Seven.
